This months Send A Teddy- winner is Deidre Huff

 from Waxahachie, Texas.

Deidre wrote:

"I want to nominate my sister Kristin Bittick for the bear this month. She is so talented, sings in the Dallas Opera for instance, yet she teaches children music in Waxahachie, Tx, is mom to my nephew David who has Downs Syndrome, and works tirelessly to provide all she can to help improve his quality of life and is always helping out another family with special needs children. 

Last year a family that she knew had their baby boy in the hospital for months. He had Downs, and was only a few months old, but had had to have heart surgery. Due to complications, he almost died over and over. This was all over the Christmas holidays. 

Mom and Dad were poor and the bills were killing them. She was able to raise money enough to keep a roof over their heads, as well as arrange for "Santa"to come by the hospital with diapers, blankets, food etc. 

She gives tirelessly though she has a crazy busy schedule. I believe she definitely deserves this bear! "

"My wife has just gone through a difficult pregnancy and delivery of our beautiful new son. He is having a bit of a difficult time eating and sleeping, so it's giving my wife fits. This teddy bear would be a nice surprise and give her a bit of a lift!"
