In December we also gave previous contestants a second chance to win a Teddy. We are happy to announce that Jen Smith from Mundelein, Illinois, USA is the lucky winner of  Christmas Teddy "Witherspoon" and a box of delicious Lindt chocolate!

"Hello :)  I'm gonna be a bit selfish here and submit myself. I'm 41, divorced, 3 kids.

 I worked full time at I job I loved. In June '12, I started having severe neck/shoulder/arm pain, and my right arm and hand went numb.

 For some reason I had 2 discs in my neck herniate and bulge out cutting off my nerve endings.

 A year and a half later, 3 surgeries, here I sit, still numb, in pain, can't drive, lost my job (they're ready to take me back once I heal) and I feel like there's no end in sight.

 I lay at home day after day, no quality of life. I believe stuffed animals are wonderful creatures to hold that allows us to nurture our inner most selves and help connect us to that lost lonely and sad piece of our spirit we are afraid to show. Thank you for reading. "

Deidre wrote:

"I want to nominate my sister Kristin Bittick for the bear this month. She is so talented, sings in the Dallas Opera for instance, yet she teaches children music in Waxahachie, Tx, is mom to my nephew David who has Downs Syndrome, and works tirelessly to provide all she can to help improve his quality of life and is always helping out another family with special needs children. 

Last year a family that she knew had their baby boy in the hospital for months. He had Downs, and was only a few months old, but had had to have heart surgery. Due to complications, he almost died over and over. This was all over the Christmas holidays. 

Mom and Dad were poor and the bills were killing them. She was able to raise money enough to keep a roof over their heads, as well as arrange for "Santa"to come by the hospital with diapers, blankets, food etc. 

She gives tirelessly though she has a crazy busy schedule. I believe she definitely deserves this bear! "

Our great Brand Ambassador!

I had the privilage to meet Christine DeGraff on G+ and then later have her as the Send A Teddy brand ambassador for G+ and Twitter. It was a great experience and I can highly recommend her for anyone who want some professional G+ marketing. 

 

I started Send A Teddy a year ago and haven't really thought about paying someone to do our online marketing. I thought that is something I have to deal with and learn on the way. Then I met Christine on G+, a lovely and inspiring woman with a big heart and tons of knowledge about G+.

 I saw how she engaged with people in a great way. She was sharing her knowledge and helping others by giving them ( us newbies) a little extra push sharing our contents on her own page and saying nice things about our products. Friendly and helpful goes a long way!

I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did!

After a month of promoting Send A Teddy this is what she accomplished.
